The floods in Thailand have wrecked the plants of most major HD producers, and prices are flaring (50-200% increases over the past week). Unfortunately, this is a bad time to buy HD. Better get the lowest capacity built-in HD you can reasonably get by with, and invest in high-quality external drives. You pay premium prices for small capacity built-in increase. A lot cheaper than Apple's RAM upgrade, very high quality. RAM: Buy the lowest config (4GB AFAIK), get 16 GB from OWC if supported, 8GB otherwise.
